CLI Connects with KeanuApologies for the postponement of last week’s session on Moodle – technical issues at the Strathfield site meant that all internet communication was cut.

Make sure you download the updated CLI Connects Program for Term 4 2010.

We will try again this Thursday October 28 at 12 noon – see you then!

Flowers on displayE-portfolios are about gathering resources and putting work on display.
An electronic portfolio is a collection of created and/or  found digital resources assembled and managed by a user. E-portfolios may contain text, images, blog entries, video and audio, multimedia files and links to online resources.
You might want to think about how student e-portfolios can be used to assist with assessment and providing proof of competency.
In this weeks CLI Connects session, we will look at options and ideas for using e-portfolios in TAFE.

POV cameras are small mobile or wearable video cameras that are great for capturing tasks from the user’s Point of View (POV). POVs have matured in recent years as video quality is way up, technology is more affordable and cameras keep getting smaller.

This weeks’ session will explore the range of cameras and equipment that are being used for training and we will look at some sample resources created with the technology. Join in the discussion with TAFE staff already using POV equipment with students!

This week we will look at how the resource cycle fits together.

How do you go from a resource that you have found or downloaded to delivery for students in a Learning Management System (Moodle or Sakai)? What if you have been paying attention and made something great in Adobe Presenter or Captivate – what can you do to deliver it in training? This practical session will demonstrate some processes from start to finish.
Yes I would rather be running on a beach than doing CLI Connects too - but please come along on Thursday at 12 noon

This week’s session on PowerPoint went down a treat with 50 participants – lots of great feedback on the forgotten versatility of PowerPoint and its many uses.

Have updated the CLI Connects site with links for session 14 (CLI new products #2) and session 15 (Revisiting PowerPoint).  View the recordings and download the presentations here: http://climoodle.cli.det.nsw.edu.au/

Excellent.
